MOSAIC AT BRONDESBURY COLLEGE FOR BOYS

PTA's members will do their best to keep you informed about various activities at Brondesbury college for Boys.

Last year, some children from BCB had participated to Mosaic Leadership Program, it has been a great success (please see feedback in previous posts). We are very pleased to inform you that a number of our pupils will have once again the opportunity to be mentored by successful Muslims from a wide range of backgrounds.

BCB current involvement with Mosaic will includes:
Mosaic Stars Programme (Developing the leaders of tomorrow inchallah)
World of work visits
Young apprentice
Young Inventors Award
Enterprise Challenge.
BCB is now going to be involved in Mosaic's Secondary School Mentoring Programme. This Connects successful Muslims from a wide range of background with young Muslims and their peers aged 11 to 18 years. The mentor network includes individuals drawn from a wide range of professions and backgrounds who can inspire and motivate young people to fulfil their potential by sharing their own experiences and discussing some of the challenges they might face. Mentees (children) also benefit from World of Work visits and engagement with Mosaic's Speakers Bureau.

Mentors commit to three hour long sessions in an academic year. These sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 4pm to 5pm. A session has already taken place on Wednesday 24th November 2010. There will be 2 more sessions, 1st and 8th December 2010.
As there are limited number of places available, Mr. Ali will be selecting students on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE; a letter was sent home with every child, hoping that you have completed the slip and return it to school.
